TAI CHI For Wellness

Thursday, September 23 at 1:00 pm

Tai chi chuan is a form of Chinese martial art but it is primarily used as a method of mental and physical relaxation through posture, breathing and gentle movements. As a form of exercise, it is particularly beneficial for those who prefer or need low impact kinds of exercise.

Vincenza Furst has studied and practiced tai chi for many years and is eager to share her knowledge and enthusiasm for this form of "meditation in motion." Join us for an informative session that will include some exercises in breathing, posture and movement. If there is interest in further sessions, the library will plan a series of classes. Please register for this program online on the library website or by calling the Adult Services reference desk at (412) 366-8100 extension 113
